Easy Baguette Crackers

Easy Baguette Crackers

These easy baguette crackers are a great way to use up some stale leftover bread. They’re perfect for snacking or even hors-d’œuvres if you want to get fancy with it. You can have them with bruschetta, pesto, hummus, soup or even just on their own! They stay crisp for a long time in a sealed bag or container and make for a great alternative to the store-bought ones!

Easy easy baguette crackers

I know it may seem like I use the word “easy” very freely on this blog, but I promise I mean it everytime. And, so far, I think these crackers are the easiest of the easy recipes. It almost seems useless to post. But I’ve made them enough times to know the recipe actually comes in handy. Plus, it’s something other than croutons and breadcrumbs to make with leftover bread. I know baguette is in the title of this post but these can pretty much be made with any bread. Just slice it up into cracker-sized pieces and the same process applies.

Easy Baguette Crackers

That process doesn’t entail much. Simply mix up the seasonings all together, brush the slices of bread with olive oil or any oil of your choice and sprinkle them with the mix. Then they go in the oven to get nice and crispy and that’s it! I flip them halfway through baking, but if you’re feeling extra lazy (I feel you), you don’t really have to. They’ll just be a bit more golden on one side. You can obviously change up the herbs if you don’t have some of them, I just found this mix to be quite versatile with different dips and such. You could even just sprinkle them with salt and pepper for basic crackers.
